Town of Landgrove
Welcome!
TOWN MEETING WILL BE DIFFERENT
Town Meeting 2021 cannot be held live in person in our little building during COVID pandemic, the state authorized SB to be able to vote this one year only to have an info session virtually, and voting by Australian ballot

Further details will arrive in the Town Report on February 18th.

There will be an online Information Hearing on March 1st at 6pm (when we would normally gather for Town Meeting) but via a conference call system with login and dial in information to come.

VOTING for OFFICERS and the ARTICLES will take place by Australian ballot, instead of our traditional Floor Vote. Ballots will be maile dto all registered voters and can be returned by postpaid envelope, or in person on election day, March 2nd, from 8am to 7pm at Town Hall for both the Town Meeting ballot and the Taconic and Green ballot.

Help Wanted: The Town of Landgrove has a vacancies at Auditor and Lister. The Selectboard will be looking to appoint someone to serve until the next Town Meeting. Interested parties please inquire with any of the Selectboard members, or the Treasurer.

“The Select Board of Landgrove, Vermont, joins cities and towns across the state to condemn the brutal killing of George Floyd, and the systemic racism of which it is emblematic. We believe history will see this as a defining moment, and we are compelled to speak in a unified voice to encourage self-education on the issues and town-wide dialogues from all viewpoints. A better understanding of racism can fuel meaningful action beyond the ballot box, such as support of local and legislative process for better policing and contributions of personal time and funds to organizations which support equality in justice, health care, education, employment or housing. We ask citizens of Landgrove and Vermont to join us as we help our communities strive for peace, healing and equal justice for all.”
The Landgrove Select Board thanks Mary English for bringing forth this resolution for equal justice which prompted thoughtful discussion, and then adding to the text carefully crafted language that the Board passed unanimously at the Select Board meeting on July 9th, 2020
